Story

As part of academic project, I teamed up with my fellow students to conduct a deep qualitative research on the Industrial Ecology and produce a visualization that depicts the size of the industrial zones in and around Bangalore, the type of industry, no.of major lakes found near the zone, the health of the lakes, with parameters like the 'Biological Demand', the type of pollutants released into the lakes.

I conducted several interviews with the owners of industries located in each zone and enquired about the kind of pollutants that were released into the lakes. Also, interviewed officials from the Water Board and Environment department to gather more information.

I divided the city into 8 zones - North, North East, East, South East, South, South-West, West, North West.
I plotted the industrial zones based on the distance from the center of the city. Also rendered a circle with the diameter to the scale of the idustrial zone's area.
